October 18, 2017 (New York, NY): On Monday, January 29th, 2018, Where® IN New York, a division of Morris Media Network, a multi-media publishing company—in cooperation with the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges (NYCAHC) and the Hotel Association of New York City, Inc.—will host the 2017 Hotel Excellence Awards (HEA) at the iconic Cipriani Wall Street.
The HEA program recognizes the qualities and characteristics that demonstrate superior service and achievement in New York City’s hospitality industry. The program is comprised of the Hotel Experience Awards, selected by the readers of Where® New York and IN New York magazines; and the Silver Plume Awards, which honor exemplary customer service of concierges and their managers, and is selected by a committee and voted upon by members of the NYCAHC. “The Hotel Excellence and Silver Plume Awards are a wonderful celebration of New York City’s hospitality industry,” said Loida Diaz, President of the NYCAHC and Concierge at Trump International Hotel & Tower® New York. “They allow concierges and managers the opportunity to have their support and services commended at such a prestigious gala.” Here are the following 2017 Silver Plume nominees: Chef Concierge of the Year Concierge of the Year Best Supporting Manager Hotel Excellence Award for Community Service “I have had the pleasure of working with concierges for over 15 years and witnessing their dedication to providing top service and memorable experiences for their hotel guests,” said Adeline Tafuri Jurecka, Publisher, Where® IN New York. “They have a true passion for what they do and we are thrilled to host these Awards that honor them and their outstanding service in this industry.” A silent auction—containing hundreds of luxury items—will be held to benefit the Les Clefs d’Or Foundation, the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges’ Charitable Fund and the Hotel Association of New York City Scholarship Fund.
